Espenet table with bronze legs and wishbone chairs at the Reform booth. Where else would it be?
OK, this is the last one from the Reform booth.  I'm not usually a Robsjohn-Gibbings fan but that coffee table is kinda rad.
Along with the usual selection of amazing jewelry by the likes of George Rickey, Calire Falkenstein and Haryy Bertoia (that I've posted about in the past)Didier was showing work by Louise Bourgeois.

Oriental Treasure Box is an insanely good Japanese antique dealer from San Diego.
Now that's a basket
Robert from the Oriental Treasure Box gave me a lesson on presentation boxes. Those who know their stuff can tell a lot about an  artist/craftsperson just from the way the box is signed.  The one above with the bow is signed in a v…

LA Modernism / 2013

The 10 Ten booth at the 2013 Los Angeles Modernism show. Scott always dials it in with a great display. Having some really good pieces to show off doesn't hurt either.
Vintage Cynthia Sargent rug at 10 Ten.  The George Nelson sofa is a good one too.

LAMA / Pad

The LA Times just did an article on LAMA owners Peter and Shannon Loughrey's house. The dual dodecagon structure was designed by Benton/Park/Candreva in 1972.  I've been to the house and it's pretty great, not that you couldn't tell by looking at these photos.

Kelly Wearstler wishes she could pull this off. I remember another bathroom in the house being just as cool, but with a sunken tub. The 70s seem like they were a good time.
Something tells me there are a few good books in there. That vintage Alvin Lustig pillow is killing me!

LA Modernism 2012

The entrance of the show consisted of a display of work by four generations of the Eames family.     The piece hung behind the stacking chairs is from the 1961 Mathematica exhibit  by Charles and Ray Eames for IBM.

Charles Eames photographs above a table and other works by Lucia Eames.
Really giant house of cards.

Calire Falkenstein and Haryy Bertoia Jewelry at the Didier booth.   They had some amazing jewelry by other sculptors as well, including pieces by Louise Nevelson and George Rickey.  I tried to take photos but they came out even worse than this one.
