Eames Design: The JF Chen Collection goes to auction at Wright on September 10th

Many of the pieces were exhibited at the Pacific Standard Time exhibition, Eames Designs: The Guest-Host Relationship in 2011-2012--including this Red Lion cabinet by Charles Eames and his buddy Eero Saarinen for the MOMA Organic Design Competition. See more photos of that exhibition, here.

JF Chen has the Girard settee that was designed by Girard for Braniff Airlines. This predates The Girard Group, which included a three seat version of this design.

In addition to the sound stages, galleries set up in the New York backlot  at Paramount.
There were galleries from around the globe showing but the one I spent the most time at was the Michael Kohn Galleryfrom LA.
Photos by Charles Brittin at the Michael Kohn Gallery. Brittin was in the mix at the Ferus Gallery.  The photos above are of Wallace Berman and his wife.

This isn't a photo but the BMW M1 Art Car #4 by Andy Warhol was there too.
I also took a trip over to JF Chen, you know because they have all the good rare stuff. These Tony Paul chairs are super cool...canvas, iron, string and wicker.
