Orange Coast College (1954) by Richard Neutra and associates, Robert Alexander and Richard Pledger Garrett Eckbo was the Landscape Architect  The initial master plan for the campus was created by architect Robert E. Alexander in 1948 who also designed the first buildings on site. He was assisted by local Corona del Mar architect Richard Pleger who worked as an associate architect on the project. In 1952, a partnership with Richard Neutra was formed, and the two worked on the planning and architecture of the new OCC campus and furthered the seven year master plan to realization. The agreed-upon scope for the Neutra and Alexander work was that each would make basic conceptual idea/design contributions, with Neutra taking chief responsibility for the architectural design and Alexander assuming control of planning, organization, public relations, and logistics. Beckstrand Medical Clinic (1953) in Long Beach, CA by Richard Neutra This is one of three buildings Neutra designed for Mildred and Dr. Grant Beckstrand

It's been altered and is in sad shape. However, it's for lease, so you can save it.
The "BB" logo from the Beckstrand Medical Clinic days is still there-sort of.
Dr. Grant Beckstrand was a good guy and started the Beckstrand Cancer Foundation. See his house here and his lodge here.

Sadness
Cropped and slightly adjusted 1958 photo.
The walkway supports were covered up and the rest was amputated. Don't get me started on the yellow stucco.
Around the side. Nice louvers.  FYI- The bars and chair are not VKG.
The only thing more depressing than the state of the building is that it might be a parking lot soon...
The Tulare Regional Medical Center is located just across the street from the Lavers building. An EIR prepared for the expansion of the facility claims the Neutra building is not a historic resource. The plan showing a parking lot where the building now sits can be seen here. The Lavers building is located at 591 E Merritt Ave, Tulare, CA
