On May 08, 2104, this "Rod Iron & Leather Side Chair. Wood Arms California" was sold at Michaan's auction .  The estimate was $1,000 to $1,200 and it  sold for $2,500. Of course all "unknown" iron furniture comes from California.  Well, it turns out "The Putney Chair" was from The Putney Graduate School of Teacher Education in Putney, Vermont Source:  FleaBay

Tray Table by Paul Palmer for Bill Brewer Associates In case you didn't believe me. I live for stuff like this. I also realize that I put the stand upside down in these pictures.   Paul Palmer for Frank Bros. Not the most exciting design, but cut him some slack, it was 1949.  Palmer studied at the Rudolph Schaeffer School of Design in San Francisco. (He would later teach Furniture Design there.) He worked with designer Frances Mihailoff in San Francisco and designed furniture, interiors and store displays for Frank Bros. in Long Beach, CA.
