La Gardo Tackett diablo cups on an Alexander Girard table cloth. This was in the Herman Miller Textiles & Objects shop in 1962. The Girard-designed T & O was one of the coolest shops ever and it only lasted a couple of years.

  Gravity and Grace: Monumental Works by El Anatsui at MCASD Downtown Printing plates Anatsui does not supply a plan for the installation of his work. He allows the curators to decide on placement. I was told he tweaked this one a bit after arriving to the museum. The tweaking involved a bit of manhandling and bending. I bet the curators were freaking out. I guess the artist doesn't have to pay attention to the sign.  Hey Charles! It's like a painting that spills onto the floor. The exhibition includes a series of wood pieces. This was my favorite. You better go see this exhibition.

The red ones are particularly bad. My passion is early inferior products that were made in California. You deserve better.
