The J.M. Roberts House (1955) by Richard Neutra The 2,580 square foot structure is sited on a 3.45 acre hilltop in West Covina, CA.  The house is for sale and Nate Cole of  Unique California Property  has the listing. That's Nate in action off in the distance.   It was in sad shape just a few years ago and has been meticulously restored by Eric Lamers. Can you tell that I'm into this corner? The view from the living room. This is just a few minutes from the 10 freeway in West Covina! Luis Barragan built some great walls in Mexico.  Luis Barragan  Barragan paid for his own walls at Casa Luis Barragan. Juan O'Gorman Mathais Goeritz Mathais Goeritz and Ricardo Legorreta The Mexican government, through a program led by Diego Rivera, paid American-born artist Isamu Noguchi to build this wall in Mexico City. The mural deals with greedy capitalists and fascism. It was done in the early 1930's and is unfortunately relevant again.   

This is where I usually post the mid-century stuff I picked up over the week. Instead, we're dealing with some civil rights issues that should have been laid to rest in the mid-century. On January 21, over 5 Million people all around the world  marched with this vision:    We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.
